My Story

My herbal journey began in 2005 through a local apprenticeship in the Wise Woman Tradition, a lineage that emphasizes nourishment, respect for the body’s innate wisdom, and connection with the natural world.

Since then, I have completed extensive training in herbalism, including Certified Herbalist and Master Herbalist programs, along with diplomas, certifications and licenses in; Naturopathy, Holistic Nutrition, Massage Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy, Advanced Cupping Therapies, Yoga Teacher, and Sacred Ceremony Facilitation.

At Ana Gaia Herbals, I am honored to share the knowledge, traditions, and plant allies that have guided me. My work is rooted in the principle of tolle totum—”treat the whole person”—supporting balance, resilience, and well-being through a holistic approach to wellness.

A note from Ana Gaia..

.

When I’m not immersed in the deep herbal soul work of Ana Gaia Herbals, you’ll usually find me somewhere outside—hiking through the woods with my standard poodle and my family. Other times I am at home practicing yoga, or around town practicing bellydancing.

I’m also passionate about creating, planning, and advocating for homeschool gatherings and community events around town. I believe community is one of the most beautiful forms of medicine, and I will always make time for a good friend, a long conversation, or an unexpected adventure.

And above all, I am an eternal student. I’m endlessly curious and almost always learning something new—about plants, healing, movement, nature, the human body, or simply life itself.

I believe that being a healer also means remaining a student, staying curious, staying connected, and never losing the wonder that brought us here in the first place. I look forward to supporting you on your journey.

An inviting wooden shelf system inside a minimalist herbal apothecary, captured with photographic realism. Rows of uniformly labeled glass jars display dried roots, leaves, and flowers in rich greens, golds, and deep browns, each texture crisply defined. A few ceramic bowls of loose herbs sit on the lower shelf beside neatly stacked recycled-paper notebooks and a small stoneware dish filled with botanical samples. Soft golden-hour light streams in from a nearby window, casting warm, elongated shadows along the grain of the wood. The camera is positioned at eye level with sharp focus throughout, emphasizing order, cleanliness, and professionalism. The overall mood is grounded and reassuring, conveying a sense of trust and expertise in herbal healing traditions guided by nature.

“Ana has the best memory and the kindest heart of all. Working with her has improved my diet, health, and overall wellbeing. I fully trust her wisdom.”

A serene preparation scene on a stone countertop where a small glass teapot is being filled with an herbal infusion, though no hands are visible. Floating in the clear water are vibrant fresh leaves of lemon balm and mint, along with delicate calendula petals, each leaf vein and petal edge rendered in photographic detail. Around the teapot, small ceramic dishes contain measured portions of dried roots and berries, and a linen towel in muted moss green is carefully folded nearby. Soft, overcast daylight from a window above creates even, diffused lighting with gentle reflections in the glass. Shot from a slightly elevated angle with a shallow depth of field, the mood is calm, intentional, and nurturing, emphasizing the ritual of herbal healing rooted in earth and guided by nature.

“I felt truly partnered in my care. Ana adjusted my herbs slowly, explained interactions, and my energy and mood lifted without side effects.”
